Duplicating a CMS Page

Duplicating a CMS page is a great way to copy the entire contents or page structure from one page to another. Using this feature a page could be used as a template with duplication allowing for a quick copy of the pages structure for reuse.

There are two locations where page duplication can be completed:

In the Pages Menu

For every created page a duplication icon exists on the right side of the screen under the "Actions" section.

In the Page Details Screen

After clicking into the edit pencil icon to edit a page, the details screen will appear with a preview of your page. In the top right corner of this screen the (...) elipses menu also includes an option for duplication.

Next Steps

Once either option above is clicked, a popup box will appear with both the existing page name and slug fields pre-modified with "copy" added. At this time you can edit both fields to to your liking.

Duplicate pages will maintain the same contents and layout of the page being duplicated. Pages will maintain the same status (Draft, Published) and will be added to the Sites Menu if the original page is already in the menu.

In the Site menu duplicated pages will maintain the nesting/hierarchy level of the original page
